One could write books on Freemasonry but let's just look at it in comparison to Christianity. Freemasonry is one of the secret societies, one that preserves the pagan mystery religions. One of the meanings of occult is hidden, so Freemasonry fits the meaning of an occult group. Freemasonry is an occultic organization, and it is contrary to the Word of God. The Masonic Lodge is composed of two groups. One is the outer group that gives Freemasonry an image of doing good and nothing but a place where members can enjoy fellowship with one another. This outer, visible group, is composed of about 95 percent of masons. The inner group is an elite group that worships Lucifer and uses the outer group to hide behind, presenting a false public image. The outer group is deceived and they defend Freemasonry whenever they are attacked.
Freemasonry Conceals It's Secrets
In Pikes Moral's and Dogma he writes, "Masonry conceals it's secrets from all except the Adepts and Sages, or the Elect, and uses false explanations and misinterpretations of its symbols to mislead those who deserve only to be misled; to conceal the Truth, which it calls Light, from them, and to draw them away from it. Truth is not for those who are unworthy or unable to receive it, or would pervert it." It is noted that 75 percent of Masons remain at the third degree or the Master Mason degree and never proceed further. This is called the blue lodge and is one that is intentionally deceived by the upper degrees.
Albert Pike in Morals and Dogma writes, The Blue Degrees are but the outer court or portico of the Temple. Parts of the symbols are displayed there to the Initiate, but he is intentionally misled by false interpretations. It is not intended that he shall understand them, but it is intended that he shall imagine he understands them. This group is the largest part of the outer group that makes up 95 percent of the lodge. To be sure, there are good men in the Masonic Lodge, but many don't realize they are deceived. Many of this outer group are Christians and many are Pastors and they are used to attract other members to the lodge and to give a good outward public appearance.
Freemasons will tell you they are not a religion. However, they have temples, altars, Bibles, lamb skins, and prayer. They have to believe in a Supreme Being of one kind or another to be a member of the lodge. The book Morals and Dogma by Albert Pike, is used and approved by the Masonic Lodge as the universally approved doctrinal book of Freemasonry. It was prepared for the "Supreme Council of the 33rd Degree and Published by its Authority.
In Morals and Dogma Pike states, Every Masonic Lodge is a Temple of Religion; and its teachings are instruction in religion. Albert Pike continues in Morals and Dogma, Masonry, like all the Religions, all the Mysteries, Hermeticism, and Alchemy, conceals its secrets from all except the Adepts and Sages, or the Elect, and uses false explanations and misinterpretations of its symbols to mislead those who deserve only to be mislead; to conceal the Truth, which it calls light, and draw them away from it.
In Grolier's Encyclopedia, If a person lives what the lodge teaches he won't have any trouble getting into Heaven. So, the teachings in the lodge are instruction in religion and one won't have any trouble getting into Heaven with these teachings. Their teachings are totally false and the inner group is a religion that worships Lucifer. Freemasonry preserves the ancient mystery religions and uses one of their own in their ritual of Hiram Abiff. The ancient world used the mystery religions to establish Luciferian worship among men. But the main question we are looking at is if it is compatible with Christianity. Freemasonry is a religion but it is not Christianity. Now we see that it is a religion and we will find that it is not compatible with Christianity and no Christian should be associated with it.
Pike writes in Moral's and Dogma, The true Mason is a practical Philosopher, . . . Masonry and Philosophy, without being one and the same thing, have the same object, and propose to themselves the same end, the worship of the Grand Architect of the Universe, . . . So the purpose of Freemasonry is the worship of the Grand Architect of the Universe, (referred to as the GAOTU) which is the Masonic God. This Grand Architect of the Universe is in reality Lucifer and is worshiped as such by the inner elite group. This is simply evidence that Freemasonry is a religion whether the outer group knows it or not. The God of Christianity is not an Architect but is Jehovah God is a creator who creates out of nothing. An Architect is one who follows plans and builds something out of something that already exists, he creates nothing. Does this sound a lot like Satan (Lucifer for the Mason) who takes something that God created and wants to make it into something different?
When entering Freemasonry for the first time the one coming to join the lodge claims to be in darkness seeking light. Albert Pike makes it clear that it is Lucifer that has the light. Albert Pike in Morals and Dogman Page 321 says, Lucifer, the Light-bearer! Strange and mysterious name to give to the Spirit of Darkness! Lucifer, the Son of the Morning! Is it he who bears the Light, and with its splendors intolerable, blinds feeble, sensual, or selfish souls? Doubt it not!
Who is The Grand Architect of The Universe?
Just what does Freemasonry have to say about who this Grand Architect of
the Universe is?
(Instructions to the 23 Supreme Councils of the World, Albert Pike, Grand Commander,
Sovereign Pontiff of Universal Freemasonry, July 14, 1889. Recorded by A.C. De La
Rive, La Femme et l'Enfant dans la Franc-Maconnerie Universelle, page 588 quote
follows)
"That which we must say to the crowd is - We worship a God, but it is the God
that one adores without superstition.
To you, Sovereign Grand Inspectors General, we say this, that you may repeat it to the
Brethren of the 32nd, 31st, and 30th degrees - The Masonic Religion should be, by all
of us initiates of the high degrees, maintained in the purity of the Luciferian
Doctrine.
If Lucifer were not God, would Adonay (The God of the Christians) whose deeds prove
his cruelty, perfidy and hatred of man, barbarism and repulsion for science, would
Adonay and his priests, calumniate him?
Yes, Lucifer is God, and unfortunately Adonay is also god. For the eternal law
is that there is no light without shade, no beauty without ugliness, no white without
black, for the absolute can only exist as two gods: darkness being necessary for light
to serve as its foil as the pedestal is necessary to the statue, and the brake to the
locomotive. Thus, the doctrine of Satanism is a heresy; and the true and pure
philosophical religion is the belief in Lucifer, the equal of Adonay; but Lucifer, God
of Light and God of Good, is struggling for humanity against Adonay, the God of
Darkness and Evil."
====================================
Pike is explaining to the lodge that they worship Lucifer and that
Christians worship Christ but Christ is the God of Darkness and Evil. No one can be a
Christian and support an organization that supports this. The apostle Paul explains in
1 Thessalonians 5:22 for Christians to abstain from all appearance of evil.
That verse would surely apply here.
Look at what the Christian Bible says about Lucifer? Isaiah 14:12-19,
12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut
down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my
throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in
the sides of the north:
14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.
15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.
16 They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is
this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms;
17 That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened
not the house of his prisoners?
18 All the kings of the nations, even all of them, lie in glory, every one in his own
house.
19 But thou art cast out of thy grave like an abominable branch, and as the raiment of
those that are slain, thrust through with a sword, that go down to the stones of the
pit; as a carcase trodden under feet.
To be in the Masonic Lodge, bound by oaths to men of all persuasions, including those
who are living in sin, is forbidden. The Masonic Lodge is certainly one of darkness,
although they claim to be of light. Paul writing to the Corinthians said in, 2
Corinthians 6:14, Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what
fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with
darkness? This verse definitely applies to a Christian and the Masonic Lodge.
Manly P. Hall was a 33rd degree mason who wrote The Lost Keys of Freemasonry for
the masonic lodges. In it he wrote, "When the Mason learns that the Key to the
warrior on the block is the proper application of the dynamo of living power, he has
learned the Mystery of his Craft. The seething energies of Lucifer are in his hands
and before he may step onward and upward, he must prove his ability to properly apply
[this] energy."
This is an admission that Lucifer is the God of Freemasonry. One of the goals of Satan
is to retain control of this earth and he uses deception and lies to damn the souls of
mankind. What Christian would want to have the powers of Lucifer and apply them? What
Christian would want to help Lucifer damn the souls of men? They would be Christians
in name only, professors and not
possessors of Christ if not hypocrites. Keep in mind there are Christians and
pastors that are members of the lodge and of a necessity they are deceived by the
lodge or lost.
Freemasons Took Prayer Out of Schools
Freemasons are the ones who took prayer out of our schools and
eventually the Bible. When Freemasons vote, they vote as a block. When prayer in
school came before the Supreme Court on June 25, 1962, in the Engel vs. Vitale case,
the Supreme Court ruled that the prayer violated the Establishment Clause of the First
Amendment. Justice Felix Frankfurter and Justice Byron R White did not vote in this
case. Of the remaining seven the following voted against prayer in school:
Earl Warren, against prayer in school– member of Sequoia Lodge #349, Oakland, CA
Hugo L. Black, against prayer in school – former member of the Ashland Lodge #356,
Ashland, AL and later became a life member of Birmingham Temple Lodge #636,
Birmingham, AL.
Thomas C. Clark, against prayer in school – member Washington Lodge, #117, Dallas,
TX
William O. Douglas, against prayer in school, member Mt. Adams Lodge #227, Yakima,
WA
William J. Brennan, Jr., Against – not a mason
John M. Harlan, against, not a mason
Potter Stewart, dissented, not a mason
Looking at the above votes you can see that four masons voted against prayer in
school. These four could have easily turned this case the other way supporting prayer
in school but voted as a block to prevent prayer in school.
Were these men supporting Lucifer or Jehovah God? It is clear they were not supporting
the Christian God.
Here is part of the oath one takes in the first degree of masonry when one
first joins:
I, ____ __ ____, of my own free will and accord, in the presence of Almighty God
and this Worshipful Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons, erected to God and dedicated to
the memory of the Holy Saints of Jerusalem, do hereby and hereon, solemnly and
sincerely promise and swear, that I will always hail, forever conceal, and never
reveal any of the secret arts, parts, or points of the hidden mysteries of
Freemasonry, . . .
Look at what Jesus says about secrets, "Therefore whatsoever ye have spoken in
darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in
closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops. Luke 12:3
Since the Mason will forever conceal and never reveal the secrets of freemasonry this
makes him forever a liar. If a Mason tells you the truth he lied when he took this
oath. If one never reveals the truth he must conceal the truth and so by concealing
the truth he lies. If you want to make a Mason a liar just ask him about the lodge and
he will have to lie and that for the rest of his life if he remains a member of the
lodge. God says all lairs will have their part in the second death, and their destiny
is eternal separation from God in a lake of fire, Revelation 20:8.
A Master Mason takes an oath "that I will not have illicit carnal intercourse
with a brother's wife, his mother, sister or daughter, I knowing them to be
such." This indicates that it is OK if he doesn't know them to be such. It
also allows illicit intercourse with all others. This isn't the position of a
Christian and obviously a Christian should not be involved in such an oath nor the
organization.
When one wants to join the masonic lodge he is identified by the Steward of the Lodge
as "a poor blind candidate who is desirous of being brought from darkness to
light" (*Standard Freemasonry Illustrated: Full Ritual and Secret Work of the
Three Blue Lodge Degrees Profusely Illustrated*, Charles T. Powner Co., 1983, p.99) If
one is a Christian or a pastor they are saying they are in darkness, they don't
know the truth nor God and they are coming to seek that light, that truth and
knowledge the lodge teaches. Did that Christian or pastor forget the words of Christ?
Here is what Jesus said about the light, John 8:12, Then spake Jesus again unto
them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in
darkness, but shall have the light of life. If they have Christ they have all the
light that is available in this world and have no need of the Masonic Lodge.
D L Moody and Charles Finney on Freemasonry
D.L. Moody, a great man of God wrote the following about these Christians
and pastors:
I do not see how any Christian, most of all a Christian minister, can go into these
secret lodges with unbelievers. They say they can have more influence for good, but I
say that they can have more influence for good by staying out of them and reproving
their evil deeds. You can never reform anything by unequally yoking yourself to
ungodly men. True reformers separate themselves from the world. But, some say to me,
if you talk that way you will drive all the members of secret societies out of your
meetings and out of your churches. But what if I did? Better men will take their
places. Give them the truth anyway, and if they would rather leave their churches than
their lodges, the sooner they get out of their churches the better. I would rather
have ten members who are separated from the world than a thousand such members! Come
out from the lodge. Better one with God than a thousand without Him! We must walk with
God, and if only one or two go with us, it is all right. Do not let down the standard
to suit men who love their secret lodges or have some darling sin they will not give
up!
Charles G. Finney wrote about christians in the Masonic Lodge as
follows:
“And should the question be asked, ‘What shall be done with the great number of
professed Christians who are Freemasons?’ I answer, let them have no more to do with
it. Again, let Christian men labor with them, plead with them, and endeavor to make
them see it to be their duty to abandon it. . . Let them be distinctly asked whether
they intend still to aid and abet the administration and taking of these oaths, if
they still intend to countenance the false and hypocritical teachings of Masonry, if
they mean to countenance the profanity of their ceremonies, and practice the
partiality they have sworn to practice. If so, surely they should not be allowed their
places in the church.“
In Morals and Dogma, Albert Pike wrote:
All truly dogmatic religions have issued from the Kaballa and return to it;
everything scientific and grand in the religious dreams of all the illuminati, Jacob
Boeheme, Swedenborg, Saint Martin, and others, is borrowed from the Kaballa; all
Masonic Associations owe to it their secrets and symbols. (p.744)
The Kaballa is the Hebrew book that Albert Mackey described as being “intimately
connected with the symbolic science of Freemasonry, the Kaballa may be defined to be a
system of philosophy which embraces certain mystical interpretations of Scripture, and
metaphysical speculations concerning the Deity, man and spiritual beings." This
is in a manner forbidden by God. Freemasonry uses an occult book, then, that is
incompatible with true Christianity and therefore should be avoided.
Southern Baptist Convention and Freemasonry
Thirty seven percent of the members of SBC churches are Freemasons. There was an effort in the early 90's to condemn Freemasonry as incompatible with the Southern Baptist Convention. It lead to a study of Freemasonry which was tainted by being made with directions from Freemasons.
At the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) meeting in 1992 Dr. James L. Holly, MD made a motion for the creation of a special ad hoc committee to study Freemasonry. The motion was amended and the Home Mission Board (HMB) Interfaith Witness Department was instructed to do a study and to bring a report with recommendation to the 1993 SBC meeting. The director, Gary Leazer was doing the study and instead of doing an independent study he had Masonic friends to help do the study thereby compromising the study.
Leazer wrote a letter to a Chattanooga, TN man that had not been meant to be public but was eventually circulated. In the letter Leazer wrote, "I appreciate all of the help that Masons have been to me," . Leazer wrote of Dr. Holly, "He, of course, will explode when he sees it. I am reaffirming our department's 1986 position that Freemasonry is NOT a religion and recommending that the SBC take a stand neither for nor against Freemasonry."
Dr. Holly now called for, "The rejection of the study prepared by Dr. Leazer
and the preparation of an honest and objective study without Masonic oversight."
However, the original report of Leazer with the help of the Masons was retained and
used. Even with the the help of Freemasons the SBC could not find Freemasonry to be
entirely compatible. Therefore, the verdict of the SBC, as to whether a Southern
Baptist could also be a member of the Lodge, was watered down with the following
statement:
"In light of the fact that many tenets and teachings of Freemasonry are not
compatible with Christianity and Southern Baptist doctrine, while others are
compatible with Christianity and Southern Baptist doctrine, we therefore recommend
that consistent with our denomination's deep convictions regarding the priesthood
of the believer and the autonomy of the local church, membership in a Masonic Order be
a matter of personal conscience. Therefore, we exhort Southern Baptists to prayerfully
and carefully evaluate Freemasonry in the light of the Lordship of Christ, the
teachings of the Scripture, and the findings of this report, as led by the Holy Spirit
of God."
Leazer also stated in the letter, “It is essential that as many Southern Baptist Masons get to the SBC as possible." In other words Leazer was warning his friends to send Masons as messengers to the next convention meeting so they could over-ride those who were not Masons and insure this watered down version passed. The Grand Commander, C. Fred Kleinknecht, wrote a letter to Freemasons, plus the Editors of all Masonic Publications and said that "It is crucial that Masons who are Southern Baptists become messengers to the Southern Baptist Convention."
Even with the help of the Masonic Lodge the SBC eventually had to admit eight problems with Freemasonry. The Baptist Press listed the following eight things that are problems that were printed in "A Closer Look".
1) "Freemasonry uses offensive, non-biblical, and blasphemous terms relating
to God."
2) "Freemasonry insists on the use of 'bloody oaths' or obligation, which
are strictly forbidden by the Bible (cf. Matt 5:34-37)."
3) "Freemasonry urges that occultic and/or pagan readings be used, and that their
teachings be appropriated in interpreting such concepts as the Trinity."
4) "Freemasonry includes the Bible as part of the 'furniture of the
lodge,' but only as an equal with non-Christian symbols and writings."
5) "Freemasonry misuses the term 'light' to refer to moral
"reformation" as a means to salvation."
6) "Freemasonry teaches that salvation may be attained by 'good works'
and not through faith in Christ alone."
7) "Freemasonry advocates in many of its writings the non-biblical teachings of
universalism."
8) "In some of its lodges, Freemasonry discriminates against
non-whites."
Each one of these eight items are in conflict with Christianity making Freemasonry incompatible. There are more than just these eight items wrong with Freemasonry but these alone are enough to stay away from Freemasonry. One has a difficult time, biblically speaking, worshiping the God of the Bible and the god of a pagan occult religion. The SBC nor anyone else can have it both ways. One can not be a Christian and also an occultist at the same time. 1 Corinthians 10:21 says, Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils.
Dr. Holly eventually had to move to a church that was not in the SBC. Having visited personally with Dr. Holly in Beaumont, Texas, in 1991, I found Dr. Holly was truly a man of God and has a vast knowledge of the Bible and of the Cult of Freemasonry. He was and is interested in the salvation of souls and at that time desired a revival in the SBC. It would be difficult to have a great revival in the SBC with so many church members also being in the Masonic Lodge. The SBC was adrift theologically then and still is today, getting further away from the true teachings of God.
Alice Bailey is an occultist that has stated Satan would infiltrate the church with Freemasonry, which is the training school for coming advanced occultists who will play their part in the establishment of the New World Order of the antichrist. It isn't just the over one million Masonic members of the SBC churches that are deceived but of many other Baptist churches. We can not forget that most religions of today were founded by 33rd degree occult Freemasons of that inner elite group of Freemasons, some of which are the Jehovah Witnesses, the Mormons, Christian Science, Seventh-Day Adventism, Scientology etc.. These other denominations added to those of the Baptist churches and the SBC churches make up a tremendously large number, Certainly not all Freemasons are unsaved, some are saved but deceived. Then again, those that are lost are not condemned to hell because of an organization they belong to but because they fail to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior. As we have seen, Freemasonry is incompatible with Christianity. Freemasons have not only been responsible for taking prayer out of our schools and thereby contributing to a downward spiral in morality, they are responsible for leading many lost people to hell by deception as mentioned by Alice Bailey.
